The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the cost of electricity by Rs 7.5 paise per unit for a month.
Electricity price hike notification has been issued by Nepra, according to which the electricity prices have been increased due to January fuel price adjustment.
According to the notification issued by Nepra, this increase will be collected from the electricity consumers in their March bills. Due to the high cost of electricity, the consumers will have an additional burden of 66 billion rupees including GST.
According to Nepra officials, K-electric consumers will be exempted from the increase in electricity price. While this increase in electricity prices has been done for one month.
