60 foreign pilots posted in Pakistani airlines

An objection has been raised by the Aircraft Owners Association. According to which, 60 foreign pilots are employed in Pakistani airlines.

And the reason displayed is that taxes can be easily evaded in the form of salaries. On the other hand, this series is also being termed as a violation of the rights of 760 unemployed Pakistani pilots and injustice.

In this regard, the letter of General Secretary of Aircraft Owners and Operators Association Muhammad Nawaz Asim to Chairman FBR and Director General FIA has come out.

According to this post, the association has reservations regarding the employment of 60 foreign airline pilots in various Pakistani airlines who are working on the airline’s payroll, most of them holding valid Pakistan work visas.

And they are being paid in dollars without deducting taxes. According to the post, such foreign pilots usually arrive in Pakistan on General Declaration under ICAO rules that allow visa-free entry for foreign carriers and their pilots but not for those who are employed, which is against international law.

According to the post, PCAA has issued endorsements to foreign pilots’ licenses to work in Pakistani airlines, but they are not exempted from work permits and applicable taxes in Pakistan, the association said. (in three Lac dollars) has emphasised the need to stop tax evasion of Rs 837 Lac.

It should be noted that salaries and benefits are being given to these pilots in violation of the law of the land, in this context, the aspect of money laundering is also being brought forward for many years.
