India: 12 dead, many injured in train accident

As a result of the terrible train accident that happened in Jharkhand, India, 12 people were killed and many were injured.

According to the report of the international news organization, a train accident took place near Khaljiria railway station in Jantara area of ​​Asansol division, due to which 12 people were killed.

According to Indian media reports, the rumor of a fire in the Anga Express from Bhagalpur to Bangalore caused a stampede among the passengers, as a result of which some passengers got off the train to avoid the fire.

Some of the passengers started running on the tracks to escape the alleged fire, meanwhile another train was hit by the train on another line, due to which 12 passengers lost their lives while many others were injured.

Railway police and local people reached the spot as soon as they got the information and took part in the rescue operations. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals in ambulances. The bodies of those killed in the accident were removed.
