The western weather system has spread to most parts of Balochistan. According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), northwest and south Balochistan received heavy rains with strong winds.
Heavy rain has continued since night in Chaman city and its surroundings, while it also rained in Qila Abdullah, Shelabagh, Saranan, Gulistan, Jangal Pir Alizai, Pashin, Khanuzai, Turbat, Panjgur and Kharan.
Apart from this, there was snowfall in mountainous areas including Kozhak Top, Toba Kakadi, Khawaja Imran, Ziarat, Toba Achakzai, Kan Mehtarzai. Levies officials say that traffic on the communication roads has been affected due to snowfall in the upper areas.
Deputy Commissioner Athar Abbas said that the road clearance operation is going on with bulldozers to clear the snow from the connecting roads, land connections with the city of the upper areas have been restored.
