England's James Anderson made history, becoming the first fast bowler to take 700 wickets.

On the third day of the ongoing Test match in Dharamsala, England fast bowler James Anderson created a new history by dismissing Indian player Kuldeep, and became the first fast bowler to take 700 wickets in Test cricket.

Forty-one-year-old James Anderson crossed this milestone on the third day of the 5th Test match against India. James Anderson is the first fast bowler to take 700 wickets. James Anderson, who started his Test career against Zimbabwe in 2003, has played 187 Test matches.

James Anderson achieved 700 wickets at an average of 26.52 and a strike rate of 56.9. He has 32 five-wicket hauls and 3 ten-wicket hauls to his name.

He is the third bowler to complete 700 wickets in Test cricket, ahead of both spinners who have accomplished this feat. Earlier, former Sri Lankan spinner Mutiha Muralitharan 800 and Australia’s Shane Warne 708 Tests. Wickets have been taken.
