A major trade agreement was signed between India and 4 European countries, this agreement worth 100 billion dollars has been concluded between India, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.
According to the report of the foreign news agency “Reuters”, according to the Minister of Commerce of India Piyush Goyal, India has signed a trade agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) on Sunday (March 10). About 100 billion dollars will be invested in the country.
After 16 years of negotiations, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and India signed an agreement with Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein to invest 100 billion dollars in India over the next 15 years.
In return, India will completely remove the import tax imposed on the industrial production imported from these countries. The European Free Trade Association will soon establish its office in India.
Indian officials have claimed that negotiations with Britain for such an agreement are also in the final stage, India has also signed trade agreements with Australia and the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this historic agreement will promote economic growth and create opportunities for the youth of the country. He added that the coming time will bring more prosperity and development.
