Sindh High Court issues notices on complaints related to Aurat March

The Sindh High Court has issued notices to the parties on the petition against PEMRA, the federal and provincial governments and the Arts Council and others.

A hearing was held on the petition against the provincial government and the Arts Council and others.

The Chief Justice remarked that you should have filed this petition before March 8.

The petitioner was of the position that we had earlier requested for an urgent hearing, but our request was not taken into account.

The court further inquired as to what immoral acts are being done in the Aurat March, which are objectionable.

Apart from this, dance and nudity are being promoted in the name of freedom and feminism.

And the Arts Council and other organizations are providing the environment and permission to the participants of Aurat March to do all this.

The court remarked that these immoral things are having a bad impact on our society, what is the interpretation of it in the constitution and law, in our Islamic system, women have complete freedom.

However, the petitioner’s lawyers were of the view that cultural centres and parks are being used to organise Aurat March programs. This too must be stopped.
