Leaders of various political parties have received nomination papers to participate in the Senate elections.
PTI leader Waleed Iqbal has submitted his nomination papers to participate in the Senate elections, while former federal minister Faisal Vawda has received his nomination papers.
PML-N’s Dr Saeed Elahi has submitted nomination papers for the seat of Senate technocrat, while PML-N’s Pervez Rasheed has also been instructed to submit nomination papers in the Senate.
Apart from this, the Muslim League (N) has also directed Nasir Butt and Talal Chaudhry to submit their nomination papers for the Senate. According to sources, MQM’s Farogh Naseem, Farhan Chishti, Shabbir Qaim Khani, Humayun Usman, Abu Bakr Siddiqui and Rauf Siddiqui have also submitted nomination papers. Documents will be submitted.
Sources say that the MQM will decide on the senator’s ticket in a few days. It should be clear that the Senate elections will be held on April 2, for which nomination papers can be submitted from March 15 to 16.
