Bangladesh will be the most polluted country in the world in 2023

A report based on an annual global survey has been released by the Swiss company IQ Air, which stated that there are only 7 countries in the world where the air quality is in accordance with the international air quality set by the World Health Organization.

According to the report, the air pollution situation is getting worse all over the world.

The air quality of a place on this list is determined based on the amount of PM 2.5 particles, the smallest particles that can damage the lungs.

Bangladesh had the worst air quality in 2023, with PM2.5 concentrations of 118.9 micrograms per cubic meter, 15 times higher than the standard set by the World Health Organization, the report said.

According to the World Health Organization, the amount of PM 2.5 per cubic meter in the atmosphere should be at most 5 micrograms.

Pakistan ranked second in the list, where the amount of hazardous particles in the atmosphere was 14 times more than the global standard.

India, Tajikistan and Burkina Faso ranked 3rd to 5th among the countries facing the worst air pollution.
