Islamabad United won the title for the third time after defeating Multan Sultans by 2 wickets in the final match of Pakistan Super League Season 9 at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and decided to bat first in the final match and scored 159 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, Islamabad United achieved the target of 160 runs on the last ball.
The Pakistani players of the champion Islamabad United did not forget the oppressed Palestinians on the occasion of the glorious victory and expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian citizens affected during the brutal actions of Israel.
After the victory, Islamabad United players circled the ground waving Palestinian flags, while the stadium echoed with pro-Palestine chants, Palestinian flags were held only by Pakistani players from Islamabad.
