The Sindh government has set a target of 9 lakh tonnes of wheat procurement this year.
According to the food department, wheat procurement will be started from March 20 and 363 wheat procurement centers will be established across the province.
The food department said that 40 wheat procurement centers will be established in Mirpurkhas division and 71 wheat procurement centers in Hyderabad division.
The Food Department says that 58 centers will be established in Nawabshah Division and 38 in Sanghar. According to the Food Department, the government of Sindh has set the official price of wheat at Rs 4,000 per maund this year.
