A staff-level agreement was reached between the government and the IMF
A declaration has been issued by the IMF according to which Pakistan will be released one hundred and one billion dollars as per the agreement.
However, this agreement between Pakistan and the IMF is subject to the approval of the Executive Board.
According to the announcement, the standby arrangement of 3 billion dollars will end as soon as Pakistan receives the instalment of 1.1 billion dollars.
Pakistan’s economic initiatives have been praised. And it has been said that the State Bank of Pakistan and the caretaker government have strictly implemented the IMF conditions in recent months.
The IMF further says that after the preliminary assessment, these results have come out.
That the economic and financial condition of Pakistan has improved over the months.
