The bodies of 7 out of 18 people trapped in the coal mine in Harnai district of Balochistan have been removed after a strong explosion due to gas filling.
18 miners were trapped due to the collapse of the coal mine in Zardalu area of Harnai, after which the Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti immediately took notice of the incident and asked for a report. Instructions were also issued to speed up the rescue operation.
DGPDMA says that two teams have been sent to Harnai, rescue operation is going on to extract the miners trapped at a depth of 1000 feet.
On the other hand, according to the Chief Mines Inspector, the bodies of 7 miners have been removed during the rescue operation, while 8 miners have been removed alive from the coal mine.
The chief mining inspector says that efforts are being made to evacuate the other 3 miners trapped in the Harnai coal mine.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the coal mine and directed to speed up the rescue efforts of the miners.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says that such incidents are very painful and sad, he stands with the affected families in the hour of grief, the government will provide all possible relief to the injured and the affected families.
