In Italy, citizens are encouraged to adopt goats
This news is also surprising and interesting that the mayor of the island of Ilicodi in Italy has allowed the residents of the island to capture and take ownership of all the stray goats.
According to media reports, the mayor of Ilicodi Riccardo Gallone said offered this modest offering due to the government’s failure to address the problem of overpopulation of goats on the island.
In fact, the population of wild goats on this tiny island has grown to about 6 times the human population. And that’s why the island’s mayor has introduced the “adopt a goat” program.
According to Mayor Ricardo, local citizens will have to email the application to the government and pay a $17 stamp fee. After that, they can capture as many goats as they want.
It should be noted that this scheme includes all the goats that are wandering and have no owner.
All goats caught by citizens must be sent out of the island within 15 days of receiving the request from the government.
