Eid-Ul-Fitr: Stormy rains in Punjab, alert issued
PDMA has issued an alert regarding the forecast of stormy rains in Punjab during the days of Eid-Ul-Fitr. From 10 to 15 April there may be intermittent stormy rains.
While there are chances of rain in Murree, Guliyat, Rawalpindi, Attack and Chakwal from April 10 to 15. From April 12, rains are also predicted in Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, DG Khan, Multan and Sahiwal divisions.
The districts of Bahawalpur division will also be affected by heavy rains. The forecast further states that there are chances of hailstorm in different areas of the province.
Citizens must keep the weather conditions in mind while preparing for Eid Ul-Fitr. Be sure to be aware of the latest weather situation for the purpose of tourism during the Eid holidays.
And before traveling to the hilly areas, carry necessary equipment. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has issued instructions to rescue teams and district administrations to remain alert during the Eid holidays.
In which it is said that all possible facilities will be provided to the tourists in case of bad weather.
In this regard, the Commissioners, DCs and Irrigation Department have also been informed about the weather situation. Citizens should contact PDMA’s helpline 1129 in case of any emergency.
