IMF, World Bank meetings will begin today
The annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank are starting today in Washington.
Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb will lead the Pakistani delegation in the meeting.
During the event, the Finance Minister will have meetings with MDIMF and the President of the World Bank.
Finance Ministry sources say that in the meeting with MDIMF, the Finance Minister will make two requests for the new loan program.
According to sources, one request will be for Extended Fund Facility and the other for additional funds for climate change.
