Lahore: Muttahida Baker Association refused to reduce the price of bread.
The Bakers Association has rejected the official orders and said that they will not sell bread worth 16 rupees no matter what the Punjab government wants.
The association issued a statement saying that they will not make bread cheaper till a bag of flour is Rs 1,600 and fine flour is Rs 7,500.
In the announcement, it was stated that the old price has been restored on most of the ovens in Lahore city.
On the other hand, the non-bread association has protested against the government’s decision to make bread 16 and non-20 rupees in Sharqpur Sharif. The association said that a protest rally will be held against the government today.
