Regarding these meetings, a declaration has been issued by the Ministry of Finance, according to which the political determination to strengthen Pakistan-US relations was highlighted in the meetings.
According to the statement, during the meetings, emphasis was placed on alternative energy sources, agriculture, resilience against climate change and special focus on the tech industry.
The Finance Ministry statement said that the meeting also emphasized on upgrading the mutual economic partnership.
The statement said that Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb briefed US officials on Pakistan’s reform agenda, which includes broadening the tax base.
