Mari Petroleum Limited announced the discovery of new oil and gas reserves.
In a statement issued by Mari Petroleum Limited, it is said that the oil and gas discovery was made in Dharki city of Sindh. Initially, the new discovery will yield 2.5 million cubic feet of gas per day.
The statement said that the new discovery will yield 1040 barrels of crude oil per day. Significant oil reserves have been discovered from well Shoal-1 in the Mari field.
Work on Shoal-1 started on 27 January 2024, the well was successfully drilled to a depth of 1136 meters.
According to a Mari Petroleum statement, MPCL MD Faheem Haider termed the discovery as a remarkable achievement for the company’s geoscientists and engineers.
