The government has reduced the prices of petroleum products for the next 15 days.
The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification regarding reduction in prices of petroleum products. According to the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has decreased by Rs 5 45 paise per liter to Rs 288 49 paise per litre.
The notification states that the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs 8 42 paise per liter after which the new price will be Rs 281 96 paise per litre.
Apart from this, kerosene has been reduced by Rs 8 74 paise per liter and light diesel by Rs 5 63 paise per litre. The new prices of petroleum products will be applicable from 12 midnight.
