A small mare in the US state of South Carolina broke the previous world record for the longest tail.
According to measurements, the tail length of this mare (pony) is five feet and 11.26 inches.
The 36-year-old mare, named Sweetie, is three feet and one inch tall. The mare’s owner, Risa Formisano, told Guinness World Records that she kept Sweetie’s tail wrapped to prevent her from dragging on the ground.
He further said that she washes his tail twice a year with conditioners. Risa Formisano brought the mare to her home in 2012 after one of her own horses died.
So they included him with the other two horses. According to him, its tail reached the ground in 2012 and has been continuously growing since then.
