For the first time in Pakistan, a Khawaja Sarawak was included in the central cabinet of a political party.
A meeting related to intra-party elections organized by Awami National Party was held at Bacha Khan center where the formation of the entire cabinet was implemented by consensus.
Transgender Dr. Mehrib Mueiza Awan was also included in the cabinet, who will serve as Secretary for Transgender Rights.
Dr. Mehrib Mueiza completed her Masters in Public Health from the University of Washington, USA and later received her MBBS degree from Khyber Medical University Peshawar. Dr. Mehrib Mueiza is currently the Director of Policy and Gender at the Gender Interactive Alliance. Also serving, earlier she has served in World Bank and various hospitals.
Dr. Mehrab Moeza has no brother while has six sisters who are all doctors.
Talking to a private channel, Dr. Mehrib Mueiza said that he had the support of his parents in every moment of his life and due to this support, he achieved many successes.
He said that he is very optimistic and excited about getting the responsibilities in Awami National Party and is trying to increase the trend in the politics of his community.
Dr. Mehrib said that the Awami National Party is a party committed to equal rights and a progressive party, that’s why he chose ANP to enter the political arena.
