New Delhi: Indian Airlines handed over termination letters to employees who went on sick leave.
According to Indian media reports, more than a hundred employees of Air India Express have suddenly gone home on sick leave, the airline has issued notices of dismissal to them.
The airline has had to cancel 90 of its flights in the last two days due to over 100 crew members going on sudden sick leave.
The company has held such employees guilty of disrupting operations and violating terms and conditions of appointment. It is learned that the senior cabin crew members of the airline have gone on a sort of strike over their demands.
According to reports, on Tuesday, when many of the airline’s flights were about to take off, the cabin crew members reported sick and switched off their mobile phones at the last moment. Air India reduced flight services till May 13. has announced, due to which more than 100 domestic and international flights have been canceled since Tuesday night, affecting around 15,000 passengers.
