Three Major Generals in Pakistan Army have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Generals.
DG ISPR Major General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, Major General Umar Mehmood Bukhari and Major General Inayat Hussain have been promoted to the rank of Lt.
Army Chief General Asim Munir also appointed the three promoted three-star generals.
Lt Gen Umar Bukhari will be appointed as Commander 11 Corps (Peshawar), Lt Gen Inayat as Chief of Logistics Services GHQ and Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif will continue to perform his duties as DG ISPR for the time being.

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry who is DG ISPR, who has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General, will continue to be posted in the same important post. However, ISPR did not issue any statement in this regard.
