Budget, new loan program, Pakistan and IMF talks begin

Negotiations between Pakistan and the IMF on the budget and new loan program have begun.

The delegation of the International Monetary Fund has reached the Ministry of Finance for negotiations, the negotiations with the economic team will continue for two weeks of the IMF mission.

According to the sources, the economic team of Pakistan has completed all the working for the new loan program, the working paper has been prepared for the extended fund facility loan program from the IMF.

According to sources, FBR officials will brief the IMF on 6 issues including new tax measures. The failure of FBR to achieve the tax target for the current financial year, the reasons for the failure of the businessman-friendly scheme will be explained.
