A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on SOEs was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in which the implementation of the State Own Enterprises Policy 2023 was reviewed.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that he wants to reduce the share of the government in business in state-owned enterprises.
Public corporations should be prepared to compete for quality and transparency. The Central Monitoring Unit of Government Corporations is preparing the 2023 report.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has further said that there are major deficiencies in the performance of government corporations. Recruitment should be done on vacant posts of Board of Directors of State Own Enterprises. There should be no delay in the recruitment of Board of Directors.
