Saudi Arabia’s Hamdi Riyad won the gold medal by defeating Pakistan’s Shahzeb Khan in the 54 category final of the Karogi event of the Asian Taekwondo Championship.
In the first round of the championship finals in Vietnam, Shahzeb won 1-0 against his Saudi opponent, the second round saw a tight contest between the two players, with Hamdi Riyad scoring 9 points to 8. Achieved success.
In the third and deciding round, the referee showed partiality and gave several controversial decisions against Pakistan, with Hamdi Riyad winning the gold medal by 7 points to 3 while Shahzeb Khan was awarded the silver medal.

Apart from this, in the 58 category, Saudi Arabia’s Jar Yusuf won 2-1 against Pakistan’s Abu Bakr Sadiq, while in the women’s 73 weight category, Korea’s Myung Min-na defeated Pakistan’s Maleeha 2-0.
