Following the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash, the date for the election of a new president has been announced.
The news agency AFP said with reference to the report of Iran’s official media that the presidential election in Iran will be held on June 28.
“The election calendar was approved in a meeting of the heads of the judiciary, government and parliament. It was decided by the initial consensus among the Shura Nihbaban that the country’s 14th presidential election will be held on June 28,” state TV said.
