National Space Agency Sparco has announced the launch of a multi-mission communication satellite.

According to Sparco spokesperson, Paksat MM1 will be launched from China’s Xichang Satellite Launch Center on May 30. The satellite is a joint venture between Sparco and the Chinese aerospace industry.

The spokesperson said that the satellite was created with the aim of meeting the communication and connectivity needs of the country. According to the spokesperson Sparco, the satellite is an important step towards digital Pakistan, the satellite will provide coverage of tele-education, telemedicine and online activities.
