On the other hand, prices of wheat-based products have decreased in Lahore. Provincial Food Minister Bilal Yasin has called for a comparative assessment of prices from markets across Punjab.
According to the provincial minister, the price of 10 kg of flour has decreased by 600 to 700 rupees, the price of 20 kg of flour has been reduced by an average of 1300 rupees.
Bread has also become cheaper in Punjab, the price of 80 kg of fine flour/flour has decreased to Rs 2770, the price of a 50 kg bag of semolina has decreased to Rs 1700. A bag of fine flour has decreased from Rs 11 thousand to Rs 8 thousand 230. As of now, semolina is available at 5450 for a 50 kg bag reduced from 7150 to 5450.
