Lahore: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi achieved success on another front, 43 Pakistani prisoners imprisoned in Sri Lanka will return home.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had a meeting with High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Admiral (Retd) Ravindra Chandra Srivijay Gunaratne in which it was agreed on the immediate return of 43 Pakistani citizens imprisoned in Sri Lanka.
In the meeting, the Federal Interior Minister thanked the Sri Lankan High Commissioner for his support for the repatriation of the prisoners and said that the arrangements for the repatriation of the Pakistani prisoners would be finalized in a few days.
Mohsin Naqvi further said that the Ministry of Interior was working with the Sri Lankan authorities for the past one month to bring back these prisoners. Wants to further advance in various fields.
In the meeting, it was also agreed to take immediate steps for the return of the prisoners of both countries to their country and the issues of mutual interest and promotion of bilateral relations were also discussed.
