Dangerous turbulence on the flight: Passenger admitted to ICU due to spinal and brain injuries.

Thailand: During a Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore, the plane experienced severe turbulence (shocks and imbalances) due to which the passengers were seriously injured and admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital.

According to Al Jazeera report, there were 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board, of which 40 people are currently being treated in hospital, 22 suffered spinal cord injuries while 6 suffered brain injuries.

Reports said that the plane descended from 37,000 feet to 31,000 feet in a few minutes near Thailand, after which it made an emergency landing.

A senior doctor of the hospital said that the condition of 40 passengers admitted in the ICU is critical and they are suffering from serious injuries. He added that the weakest patient in the hospital is 83 years old and the youngest is a two-year-old. A child was injured, and a passenger died of a heart attack.

Earlier, a passenger of the plane told a foreign news agency that the plane lifted up and then suddenly started to fall, throwing passengers who were not wearing seat belts from the roof of the plane.
