K Electric, the electricity provider in Karachi, demanded a huge increase in tariff to drop electricity bombs on consumers.
K Electric has demanded an increase of Rs 10.69 paise per unit in the basic electricity tariff.
The current basic average tariff of K Electric is Rs 34 per unit, but K Electric has requested to fix the basic electricity tariff at Rs 44 69 paise per unit.
K Electric has sought an increase in the base tariff under the 7-year multi-year tariff.
K Electric has requested to set transmission charges at Rs 3.48, distribution charges at Rs 3.84, operation and maintenance charges at 0.42 paise and retail margin at 0.59 paise per unit.
A request has been made by the company to fix the working capital at Rs 2.7 paise per unit in the electricity tariff. Nepra has asked for feedback from partners within 7 days on K Electric’s request.
