Pakistan got new economic reform targets for a new program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Privatization, energy sector and reforms in FBR are among the main targets, the IMF informed Pakistan about the budget outline and tax collection target for the next year.
A new debt program was further negotiated, with reforms and targets subject to parliamentary approval.
According to the sources, the negotiations on the new loan program will be held at the end of June, and the agreement is expected to be reached before July 1. This is the first time that Pakistan will start implementing all the demands of the IMF before the negotiations.
