Sources have said that the government has given today’s deadline to the bakery owners in this regard. According to the sources of the food department, after the deadline, the operation will be carried out without discrimination.
Government sources say that now a large double loaf should be cheaper by Rs 70 to Rs 90. Sources have said that the prices of cake rusks, biscuits, buns and cakes are still being charged very high.
Food department sources also say that along with bakeries, hoteliers will also have to reduce prices.
