Battery prices are expected to drop by 50%.

With the onset of summer, citizens have started buying UPS and its batteries. Compared to last year, the prices of not only UPS but also vehicle batteries have decreased slightly, but despite this, the prices of batteries are beyond the purchasing power of the common man.

According to the report, the largest Chinese producer of lithium-ion batteries (CATL) claims that battery prices will be halved within three years.

If this happens, the time is not far when the payback period of an off-grid solution will be 2-3 years. Some businessmen are sensing this and are planning to manufacture batteries in Pakistan.

On the other hand, traders say that the price of UPS batteries has decreased compared to last year. The UPS battery used to cost Rs 38,000, now the same battery costs around Rs 33,000. Similarly, a 110 volt battery used for 2 fans and lights used to cost Rs 23,000, now it has come down to Rs 20,000.
