Claudian Baum won Mexico’s presidential election and became the country’s first female president.
Mexico’s official electoral authority says preliminary results from Sunday’s election show Claudia Sheinbaum winning with 58 to 60 percent of the vote.
According to the British media report, Shenbaum has a lead of 30 percent of the votes over her business woman rival Zoshel Gloves. Sheinbaum thanked the people for her success in the elections and said, “I will not let you fail.”
According to reports, Sheinbaum is an energy scientist and former mayor of Mexico City. Sheinbaum will take the oath of office on October 1, 2024 and assume the presidency of Mexico.
