Vermont: An unusual hole between the clouds has been seen in the sky of the US state of Vermont, which has stunned onlookers.
According to media reports, the US National Weather Service (NWS) reported an unusual hole in the clouds that was seen above Chaplain Valley in Burlington, Vermont.
NWS tweeted on social media platform X that these types of clouds usually form when the temperature of the cloud water is below the freezing point but the water does not freeze.
The NWS added that this particular hole in such a cloud would likely have been created by an aircraft. When an airplane passes through a cloud, the air around its wings and body expands and cools, eventually turning into water droplets and turning into tiny ice crystals.
These frozen droplets are heavier and do not allow the holes in the cloud to close. Due to their heavy weight, they start to fall through the hole.
