Pakistan’s renowned author, comedian and host Anwar Maqsood has been honored with the King Charles Pin Award by the Government of Canada.
Pakistani-born Canadian Member of Parliament Shafqat Ali has presented an official pin and certificate to Anwar Maqsood in recognition of his outstanding services in the field of culture, art and literature on behalf of the Government of Canada.
Canadian Member of Parliament Shafqat Ali said that the Government of Canada appreciates Pakistani legend Anwar Maqsood’s services in Urdu literature and art and that he is a positive image of Pakistan.
He said that the Pakistani community in the whole world and the whole of Pakistan are proud of him. Shafqat Ali said that it is my honor to welcome Anwar Maqsood on behalf of the Government of Canada and his success in Canada. Congratulations on the shows.
On this occasion, Anwar Maqsood said that Pakistan is my identity, I am grateful to Canada on behalf of myself and my family for this honor.
