The Punjab Home Department imposed Section 144 on the sale of sacrificial animals on the roads and streets of Lahore.
According to the declaration, the sale of animals will not be allowed except in the eight markets allocated in the city. Sacrificial animals will be sold only in the designated 8 livestock markets.
According to Punjab Interior Department, sale of animals on highways and alleys has been banned till June 20. Section 144 has been implemented to maintain law and order and maintain traffic flow. Deputy Commissioner Lahore has recommended the implementation of Section 144 in public interest. was
