During his visit to Qatar, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf held important meetings with Chief of Staff of Qatari Forces and Commander Qatari Amiri Naval Forces during which bilateral defense relations were discussed.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan Army, defense relations, bilateral maritime cooperation, issues of mutual interest and regional maritime security were also discussed during the meetings.
ISPR said that the Chief of the Pakistan Navy visited Mohammad Bin Ghanim Al Ghanim Naval Academy, Naval Base Umm Al Houl and ships of Qatar Amiri Navy.
According to ISPR, the Chief of the Pakistan Navy highlighted the role of the Pakistan Navy for regional maritime peace and stability by participating in the Regional Maritime Security Patrol and Combined Maritime Forces. I appreciated the role of Pak Navy.
ISPR said that the Naval Chief’s visit will further boost defense ties between the two countries in general and naval forces in particular.
