The Sugar Advisory Board allowed the export of sugar

ISLAMABAD: The Sugar Advisory Board has given permission to export sugar on the request of sugar mill owners.

According to the sources, the federal government has prepared to allow the export of additional sugar and in the first phase it has been decided to allow the export of one and a half lakh metric tons of sugar.

Sources say that it has been decided to submit the summary for sugar export to the ECC soon, the decision to export more sugar will be taken keeping in view the prices of sugar in the market.

Sources say that the ex-mill price of sugar will not be allowed to go above Rs 140 per kg.

Sources said that there will be an agreement between the government and the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association and the price of sugar in the market will not be allowed to increase.

According to the sources, the sugar mill owners had demanded the export of 1.5 lakh metric tonnes of sugar and in the first phase they had sought permission to export 5 lakh tonnes of sugar. According to the sources, the Prime Minister had recently issued orders to review the export of sugar. .
