Another innocent woman in Lahore is a victim of religious fanaticism
The creator of Pakistan Allama Iqbal said…Deen-i-mullah fisabill Allah fisad…However, we do not have the right to say this, nor is it our narrative. The foundation of tolerance is about to be destroyed.
After that, we remain silent. There is a chain of events which never ends but is increasing day by day. In recent days, an innocent woman was saved by the grace of God while facing religious fanaticism.
Otherwise, another innocent death would have left us with a stigma in the international world. It happened that a woman in Ichra, Lahore wore an Arabic brand suit on which the Arabic word halwa was written in Arabic language and in Arabic calligraphy design.
This common Arabic word means beautiful and sweet and in Saudi Arabia, such clothes are usually sold. But the people, who were struck by religious fanaticism and lacked knowledge, surrounded this woman after seeing the Arabic text and became enemies of her life.
And if the police had not reached the spot, that mob might have killed the woman. And we would have no solution left except crying and mourning.
Moreover, it would be extremely unfair not to mention SDPO Gulberg Lahore ASP Shahrabano Naqvi on this occasion. she who risked her life to take the woman safely out of the reach of the angry crowd.
The female police officers kept on assuring the angry crowd that if the woman had committed blasphemy, she would be punished and action will be taken according to law.
Her assurance and timely intervention blocked the path of attacking religious fanatics. For which ASP deserves congratulations and compliments.
