The airport security force foiled the smuggling of domestic and foreign currency and gold worth 16 million rupees from Karachi Airport to Bangkok. Recovered, the passenger had hidden 251 grams of gold and foreign currency in the bag.
The ASF spokesperson said that the personnel recovered the currency and gold on manual search when the goods were suspicious, including US Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Yuan and Rala.
According to the spokesman, the accused has been handed over to the Customs along with the recovered gold and currency after preliminary investigation.
