Decision not to reduce prices of sugar, flour and ghee at utility stores

In the Ramadan package of 7.5 billion rupees, the citizens lost more relief on 3 basic items.

According to sources, it has been decided not to reduce the prices of sugar, flour and ghee at utility stores. Under the Ramadan package, the current prices of sugar, flour and ghee will remain unchanged.

For BISP customers, the price of sugar per kg will remain at Rs 109, while the price of a 10 kg bag of flour will remain at Rs 648. Under the Ramadan package, the price of ghee per kg will remain at Rs 365.

Sugar, flour and ghee prices are already low for BISP customers. Due to the existing subsidy, it has been decided not to reduce the prices further.

Ramadan package at utility stores will be applicable from March 5 instead of March 4. Due to the appointment of the new Prime Minister, the history was changed. The Caretaker Cabinet had approved the Ramadan package to start from March 4.
