The excitement of Gaza’s displaced Palestinians is palpable at the arrival of Ramadan, with women, men and children welcoming the blessed month in full force.
Tents were decorated with colorful lamps, traditional lanterns were placed on trees, fireworks were lit and songs were sung. The victims say that they will welcome Ramadan with decorations, prayers, fasting and thanksgiving to Allah as usual.
He said that Ramadan this year is very different from the previous years, we are not in houses, we are in tents, every year there were different kinds of food on the Ramadan table, this year we have nothing to eat.
The victims expressed hope that they will soon return to their homes and that the situation in Gaza will improve soon.
