The Punjab government has decided to ban plastic bags in the province from June 6.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb in which it was decided to digitize the kiln industrial system for better air quality index.
Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said that according to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, quality life is the right of every individual, there will be no compromise with those who play with human lives, therefore crackdown will be done against those who spread air pollution.
In the meeting, the senior minister also instructed to form Environment Climate Change Council in the educational institutions to make the students environmental ambassadors. Maryam Aurangzeb said that plastic bags will be banned on the order of the Chief Minister on June 6.
