Bangladesh has been declared as the most polluted country in the world
We are not the only ones disgraced; some others are ahead of us. According to the latest news, Bangladesh has been declared the most polluted country in the world in 2023.
And this list has been released by the Swiss company IQ Air. In recent days, it has released a report based on its annual global survey.
In this report, it is stated that there are only 7 countries in the world where the air quality is in accordance with the international air quality set by the World Health Organisation.
In the same report, a warning has also been issued that the air pollution situation around the world is getting worse. And it needs to be acted on as an emergency situation.
Let us tell you that the air quality of a place in this list. This report is determined based on the amount of fine PM 2.5 particles that can damage the lungs there.
And according to the same air quality, Bangladesh had the worst air quality in 2023. Where the concentration of PM 2.5 per cubic meter was 118.9 micro-grams, which is 15 times higher than the standard set by the World Health Organisation.
On the other hand, Pakistan ranked second in the list, where the number of dangerous particles in the air was 14 times higher than the global standard. The countries facing the worst air pollution include India and Tajikistan.
134 countries and territories were surveyed in this report. Of which only Australia, Finland, Estonia, Iceland, Mauritania, New Zealand and Grenada were the countries that managed to limit the fine particles emitted by cars, trucks and industrial activities.
