Pakistan's return to the World Open squash arena after a one-year absence

Pakistan is returning to the World Open Squash Arena after a year’s absence, Pakistan’s Junior World Champion Hamza Khan has been included in the main draw of the World Open Squash.

The draw for the main round of the World Open Squash event has been finalized which includes Pakistan’s Hamza Khan. The World Open Squash will be held from May 9 to 18 in Cairo, Egypt.

Hamza Khan achieved a historic feat by winning the World Junior Squash Championship last year and based on this win, he got a place in the World Open.

Hamza Khan will fight Switzerland’s Nicolas Muller in the first round on May 10.

It should be noted that in 2023, no player from Pakistan participated in the World Open Squash, while in 2022 Asim Khan participated in the championship, but he was eliminated from the event in the first round.
