American technology company Google has announced to establish 50 smart schools with advanced technology in Pakistan.
According to official news agency APP, the smart schools to be set up in Islamabad will be equipped with 30,000 Google for Education IDs, which will include features such as artificial intelligence, digital tools for better collaboration and productivity.
In this regard, special workshops will be organized for the training of teachers.
The Google for Education team met the Education Secretary and presented the upcoming plans for Pakistan’s education sector to the government.
During the meeting, teacher workshops on Google for Education tools, establishment of a public Google Reference School, skills training for 2,000 youth through Google Career Certificates, and possible cooperation on hosting were discussed. Announcements are also expected.
